 WHO ARE WE ?

Who are we ? Augustin Bodet and Alban de Montgolfier.

"Oh no, it's a little short, you could say, oh God, a lot of things!"

Certainly certainly ... Let's detail a little more: we are two very good friends from Clermont-Ferrand, volcanoes and mountains. It is in this region of Auvergne that the idea of this project was born, marriage of our common passions such as adventure, travel, hiking or video, but also the same desire to give and to witness the wonders hidden in every corner of the world.

Let's be even more precise in the presentations: we are computer science students, one at INSA Lyon, the other in master at Angers. From our earliest childhood we grow up in the Scout universe, and now again we are or have been a leader of a Scout unit. This beautiful school of life has given us a strong conviction: life is made beautiful by the gift of ourself. We have received a lot: time to give now! We, especially Augustin, are passionate about video and have gained a lot of experience in the field through the production of short films, conferences and corporate films.

It is therefore at the crossroads of all these similarities that came, a year ago, this same idea!

 SO, AND OUR PROJECT ?

This is how we summarized our project in a few sentences: we go around the world to discover 6 humanitarian actions in different continents, with the aim of making a video report that would reach a wide audience. We also produce a series of monthly videos devoted to the journey itself, and to the story of the cultural discoveries that have been made.

Medias are a powerful way of communication and you know it, they have a strong impact on the world. Unfortunately, we see a lot of- more and more - violence and pessimism.

That is why, while showing the reality - and sometimes the harshness - of the world in which we live (monthly video of the journey), we wish above all to bring to this universe of the media a good dose of optimism, by putting forward the beautiful initiatives and small daily gestures that prove that in every corner of the world, humanity is full of joy and benevolence (format-long video). We are neither journalists nor tourists, but we are convinced that we will meet enough living witnesses of this light to make more than one report!

Why go to the discovery of humanitarian actions around the world? We have a certainty: happiness is in the gift. This is the heart of all humanitarian actions whatever their mission. Thus, by mobilizing our video expertise and giving a year of our life for this project, we intend to show you all these human figures that prove that it is possible to concretely help communities in need. And if our testimony gives you a positive and hopeful image of our world, it means we have accomplished our mission!

Trips are fully part of the project. By varying the means of locomotion, and by avoiding as much as possible the stages by plane, we have the will to keep a certain freedom, and to take advantage of the way to meet, to discover and to impregnate us of the countries that we will cross. Of course, some parts of the journey are planned in advance (and not just to reassure our families), such as the train in Russia or the plane for the changes of continents. But we have also planned to travel by hitchhiking, especially in Europe. Thus, we will walk, exchange and progress with the local inhabitants, and we will adapt to what will be proposed to us in each region crossed. Traveling on our own, leaving the unexpected to the unexpected, inevitably means that we will encounter difficult moments. We are aware of this, but it will also be thanks to the obstacles to overcome that we will come back wiser from this trip.

The periods we spend with humanitarian organizations will be prepared in advance with the organizations concerned. The journey that will precede our arrival will enable us to adapt well to the country's novelties and, at the same time, to better understand the issues facing these humanitarian actions. Each time, during about 3 weeks, we will take part in the various activities and missions organized, while capturing the images that will best show what we discover on site.

Thank you very much for following us and make this project live!
